I’ve been smashing the posts up recently, because I get on the boat to Antarctica tomorrow and there’ll be three weeks of radio silence. So I wanted to make sure there are some things to keep you all occupied. Here are some photos of the freaking bizarre place I’ve been staying in since New Year’s. I’ll be back around the 11th or 12th of Feb with frosty stories to tell.
- The Buenos Aires skyline from our window.
- Pretty awesome as far as cupboard doors go.
- Me, squeezing a lemon. Apparently this combo was QUITE the funny. Note also the yellow shirt and yellow wall.
- “I see strange dreams in the river of your time. Your paths will be many. The snake bites at midnight, but only the full moon. The fool’s moon will reap a lesser harvest…”
- This is the view FROM MY BED. Best bed ever.
- And further back, for context.
- And the ceiling above the bed. Hard to feel depressed in this house.
- Strange lady #1.
- Strange lady #2 – really works that ‘body like a guitar’ angle.
- Strange lady #3.
- Strange lady #4.
- This is the floor, if you’re disoriented.
- Bock-erk! (Note the Carlos Gardel picture for true BA authenticity.)
- Um, yeah, it’s a wall. Whoo! Walls!
